STATEMENT OF FAITH

AUTHORITY OF THE SCRIPTURES
A foundation for everything we do is the Bible, and we consider both the Old and New Testaments to be divine and final in authority for all Christian faith and practice. We believe, that the Holy Bible is inerrant, infallible, inspired and trustworthy. It is a complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 14:26, 16:12-15)

GOD
There is one and only one living and true God, who exists eternally in three persons — Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He is the Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of the universe. (2 Corinthians 13:14, Deuteronomy 6:4, John 1:1, John 1:14)

JESUS CHRIST
True God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was bodily raised on the third day, and ascended into heaven. He is our Savior, Sanctifier, Advocate, Healer and the Coming King. (John 1:1, Hebrews 2:14, Luke 1:34-35, 1 Corinthians 15:3)

HOLY SPIRIT
Divine Third Person in the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit initiates, regenerates, indwells, infills, guides, teaches, leads, and empowers the believer for both godly living and service. (John 3:5-8, 1 Corinthians 12:13, John 14:26, Ephesians 5:18-21)

HUMANITY
Created in God’s image, mankind fell into sin by choice, and falls short of God’s standard, and therefore is under God’s righteous judgement. Yet God saves and gives new life to all who come to Him in repentance and faith. At the cross, Jesus Christ died in our place as our substitute, absorbing God’s wrath that should have come upon us.

Because Jesus died for the sins of the world, the invitation to believe is open to all, whoever desires may come unto Jesus for new life and the forgiveness of sins. (Genesis 1:21, Romans 3:23, Acts 3:19, Acts 20:21, Ephesians 2:1-3, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 2:2, John 3:16, Matthew 11:28, Revelation 22:17)

MOKSHA
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed in His death on the cross, and His resurrection from the dead provides the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Salvation is a gift of God through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:23, Hebrews 9:22-28, Romans 4:25, 1 John 1:9)

THE CHURCH
We believe in the universal church, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the head and all who are born again are a part of the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Ephesians 4:15-16)

ORDINANCES
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances for the church to be observed (a) full immersion water baptism of believers, and (b) the Lord’s Supper. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. (Matthew 28:19, Luke 22:19-20, Acts 2:38, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

HEAVEN AND HELL
We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell, and that all those who place their faith, hope, and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, while those who reject Jesus’ free gift of salvation will spend eternity separated from the Lord. (Psalm 9:17, Matthew 5:3, Matthew 5:22, Matthew 18:9, Matthew 25:31-34, Mark 9:42-49, Luke 12:5, John 3:18, Hebrews 12:23, 1 Peter 1:4, Revelation 14:10-11, Revelation 20:11-15)

CHRIST’S SECOND COMING
We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which is His personal, visible return to earth and the establishment of His millennial kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, and the eternal blessing of the righteous and endless separation of the wicked. (Matthew 16:27, Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16, Revelation 20:11-15)

We believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church where all believers will meet the Lord in the air and be taken out of this world prior to the Tribulation that will come upon the earth. (Isaiah 26:20, Matthew 24:29-31, Luke 21:36, Romans 1:18, Romans 5:9, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, 2 Peter 2:7-9, Revelation 3:10, Revelation 5:7-10, Revelation 7:13-14)

MARRIAGE
We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such He created them different so they can complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. Therefore, we perform marriages in accordance with the Bible consistent with the Old and New Testament. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; John 4:16-18; Romans 1:18-32; I Corinthians 5:11, I Corinthians 6:9-11, I Corinthians 6:18-20, I Corinthians 7:1-3, I Corinthians 7:8-9; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-7; I Timothy 1:9-11)
